Democrat: Joe Biden. He's got the experience that Obama lacks, especially on the foreign policy front, and would do well campaigning and in debates.
Republican: Mitt Romney. True, he and McCain were antagonistic during the primary season, but apparently there has been some reconciliation there. He also provides some things to the ticket that the main guy lacks: conservatism, economic experience, and (relative) youth. Plus, he has great hair, and I laugh when Letterman makes jokes about a guy named "Mitt."
It appears that the election is still leaning Obama's way, but McCain is closing the gap. It's reminiscent of his ascent to the GOP nomination after Giuliani and Romney were far ahead early in that race.
I would love to see Hilary's gang make a ruckus in Denver - it would just be fun. We'll see how it goes.
For those of you who will be in Minneapolis on September 2nd, you would be wise and energized if you attended the Rally for the Republic (cost is $17.76) which will kick off Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty. Hopefully the mainstream media will provide at least a little coverage of the event, but I'm not holding my breath.

More to come during convention weeks...
