Reading

The usual Sara Sue evening ritual is for me to give her a bath, help her brush her hair and teeth, get her PJs on, and read her a book. Then Elisa comes in and sings a song or two with her, and then lights out. However, the past few days have been the most exciting for me since the day she took her first steps because she is slowly but surely learning how to read.

The past couple of nights we've been reading a book and she now knows how to read the following words: and, do, go, in, is, it, not, of, right, to, too, up, you, you'll

At one point she said, "Sometimes you spell it 't-o' and sometimes you spell it 't-o-o'." Brilliant!
