After nine looooong years, the Yankees are World Series champions once again. Things really came together nicely this year, with key free agent signings performing at or above expectations (Sabathia, Burnett, Texieria, Swisher), bullpen guys finally pitching to their capabilities (an absolute about-face from their performance in 2008), the "Core Four" of Jeter, Rivera, Posada & Pettitte all having solid seasons, and A-Rod going from goat in Spring Training to hero in the post-season. The Phillies were tough - without question the best team in the National League - but all the stars aligned for the Yanks this year. The YANX are CHAMPS!!! Aaaahhhhhhhh......
