Winds

Wanted to share this perspective from Joan Didion (via my buddy Todd) that describes one of the ways that southern California weather is unique. I've been here 14.5 months and already been through three significant fire occurrences, and I can recognize at least some of Joan's observances. It's a sense of helplessness that invariably leads to a feeling of despair, regardless of whether you are personally directly affected, probably because it could directly affect you the next time. It's not all sunshine and surf out here after all.
